What on earth is Sea Buckthorn? What does it do?
Like so many Australians, Dom and I really like a healthy lifestyle and healthy options in our diet - we are busy, active people and would like to retain that quality of life as long as possible. Over the last few years, we have (almost mysteriously) been exposed to several opportunities and introduced to many wonderful people, all of which has lead us to wanting to give to fellow Australians, exactly what we look for overselves: healthy supplements and alternatives which are Australian made (where possible), Australian compliant with our own health regulations and not those of overseas countries, with products available for sale here in Australia, Australian owned business, payments staying within Australia with Australians at the end of the phone. A long "wish list" !
We worked hard in our weight loss business developing a soft gel product which is the first in the world, and Australian compliant with an AUST L. We created supporting products which also were Australian made and listed. When we sold that business, we decided to do something similar but not related to weight loss. It had warmed our hearts to be of help to fellow Australians and we did not want that to cease with the sale of the business ....
.... then came along the Sea Buckthorn berry. Whilst on an overseas trip, Dom came across it. We'd never heard of it but it is well known in Europe with a long long history going back thousands of years! In a nutshell, Sea Buckthorn is all about tissue regeneration - see Why Use Sea Buckthorn? With much work and the help of our Australian colleagues, we eventually produced Sea Buckthorn Complete Vitality as a soft gel. No easy feat, and we have it listed with AUST L 216329 so our customers are guaranteed that the product is exactly what we say it is.
We were advised to create topical products with Sea Buckthorn oils to address skin conditions, or just for generally maintaining healthy skin. Skin Rejuve is an amazing moisturiser containing effective amounts of Sea Buckthorn oils (berry and seed) and our feedback has been wonderful. 100% Australian made, it does wonders to rejuvenate skin that is tired, aging, dry or effected by uncomfortable skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and dermititis. Our Body Glow, also 100% Australian made consists of effective amounts of the seed and berry oil from the Sea Buckthorn berry along with a proprietary blend of essential oils and nutritional oils.
My own experience with the three Sea Buckthorn products is a more elastic, hydrated "plumping up" of my face and arms in particular. All else was okay but I was rather horrified to see my skin becoming thin and easily damaged! My Dad had had "paper skin" and I definitely did not want to go down that road - the skin becomes fragile and tears when bumped even! Unhealthy, unsightly and the underlying problems of not having the skin do what it is supposed to do is something we can all avoid.
